At Goanna Academy, every dollar raised is reinvested into mental health and community programs, directly benefiting regional communities across Australia.

How Your Support Makes a Difference

Your contributions allow us to deliver free Mind and Movement Clinics, using sport as a tool to engage young people and break down barriers to mental health support.

Each participant receives:

  • A free shirt, water bottle, and resource pack

  • A BBQ lunch and refreshments 

  • Skills and drills with Goanna Academy ambassadors and NRL GDOs

  • A mental health workshop, designed to build resilience and promote well-being for young people who participate.

Community Marketplace at Our Clinics

Each clinic features a free community marketplace, providing local businesses and mental health organisations with the opportunity to:

  • Set up stalls and displays  to provide information on support services in the area

  • Network and collaborate with the community through local businesses

  • Share valuable resources and support services  that allow for all community members to explore.

This space helps create a connected, informed, and empowered community, ensuring that participants have direct access to local mental health support.

Mental Health Workshops for All Ages

In addition to the clinic activities, we offer tailored mental health forums for both adults and young people, addressing the unique challenges faced by those living in regional and remote areas.  This important part of our clinic allows for shared storytelling, mental health strategies and support by connecting services to participants.

As part of our 2025 Goanna Academy Community Clinic Initiative, we will randomly select one donor and deliver a free program in their nominated location in 2025.

Terms & Conditions - Goanna Academy Donor Draw

    • To enter, you must make a donation to the Goanna Academy through our official fundraising platform.

    • Each donation counts as one entry; multiple donations equal multiple entries.

    • The draw will take place on 1st August 2025.

    • One (1) winner will be selected at random and announced on our social media channels.

    • The winner will also be notified via email or phone.

    • The winner may nominate a community within Australia as the location for the program.

    • The final selection is subject to feasibility, including travel, logistics, and local partnerships.

    • The winning location will receive a FREE Goanna Academy Mental Health Program, including:

      • Rugby league skills & drills led by Goanna Academy ambassadors

      • Mental health workshops for young people

      • Free participant giveaways, including shirts, drink bottles, and resource packs

      • A BBQ lunch and refreshments for all attendees

    • The nominated community must be located within Australia in an area that is reasonably accessible, with suitable facilities to host the program.

    • The programme is to be delivered with a date mutually agreed upon by Goanna Academy and local partners, within the constraints of our existing calendar of bookings.

    • If the selected location is deemed logistically unfeasible due to scheduling conflicts, Goanna Academy will work with the winner to identify an alternative suitable location.

  • The Goanna Academy reserves the right to make the final decision regarding location feasibility and program delivery.
